January 2008: Hazop Study Essent
Nozhup assisted Essent with
the HAZOP of the Turbine part of an Essent Powerplant.
The correct function of the Turbine is vital for the plant. Main goal of
the HAZOP was to investigate all possible causes for unsafe situations
and availability issues.
The
study was executed with several Essent specialists under the
coordination of Breplu. During the HAZOP a structured method (check
list) was used. Outcome was redefinition of several temperature,
vibration and displacement trip settings to reduce operator influences
on tripping the turbine.
